PRP Hair Restoration in Maurice, LA

Serving Lafayette, Youngsville, Broussard and Abbeville from the studio in Maurice, by Samantha Cormier, CRNA, FNP-C.

Book Now Text a question

Hair PRP in Maurice, LA treats one specific problem: thinning hair that still has living follicles under it. The two cases Sam sees most are postpartum shedding and perimenopausal thinning. PRP places platelet-rich plasma from your own blood where those follicles need a signal.

This is not a treatment for bald patches. Once a follicle has closed for good there's nothing left for PRP to work with, and Sam will say so rather than sell you a series.

Hair is slow. She asks people to judge progress at three to six months, not three weeks.

Commonly treated

  • Early & moderate thinning
  • Widening part lines
  • Postpartum shedding recovery
  • Density maintenance

How it works

What your visit looks like.

Step 1

Scalp assessment

Sam maps your thinning pattern and checks whether follicles are miniaturising or gone.

Step 2

Draw and spin

A small blood draw goes into the centrifuge, which separates out the platelet-rich layer. About fifteen minutes.

Step 3

Injections

Your scalp is numbed, then she places the PRP across the thinning zone. Forty-five minutes to an hour.

Step 4

Track it

Shedding usually slows first, around six to eight weeks.

Your rhythm

Most people start with three to four monthly sessions, then maintenance every three to six months. Skip the maintenance and the gains tend to fade.

Aftercare & what to expect

Expect a tender scalp that evening. Most people take nothing stronger than Tylenol. Don't wash your hair for 24 hours, skip heavy workouts for a day, and avoid harsh chemical treatments (color, relaxers) for 72 hours. Shedding slowing around week 6–8 is your first win; density follows over months.

The Seymour standard

Why this is different here.

Your hair prp appointment is with Samantha Cormier, CRNA, FNP-C. Her first career was anesthesia, so the hand placing your units spent years doing precision work under a great deal more pressure than this. Nothing is rushed and no sales quota shapes your plan.

Your consult ends with a mapped plan and an exact total, and you approve it before anything touches your skin. Sometimes the right answer is a smaller treatment than you came in for. Sometimes it's nothing yet. You'll get that answer too.

  • The same person consults with you and treats you
  • Plans priced and approved before treatment, always
  • Follow-up by text, and it's Sam replying
Worth the drive

15 minutes from Lafayette. On purpose.

People drive to Maurice for hair prp from Lafayette, Youngsville, Broussard, Abbeville, Milton and Scott. Most work out that the drive takes less time than the wait at a busy Lafayette clinic, and the appointment itself is nothing like one.

Parking is free and right at the door. There's no waiting room to sit in, and Sam will remember your last visit without opening a chart. It's the counter-commute, south, away from the Ambassador Caffery traffic, toward quieter care.

FAQ

Hair PRP, answered.

Does hair PRP work?
There's real and growing clinical evidence for PRP in early thinning, particularly when it's started before follicles fully close. Sam tells you plainly if she doesn't think you're one.
Will it work on a receding hairline or a bald spot?
Not reliably. PRP needs a living follicle to stimulate, so it does best on diffuse thinning rather than skin that's already smooth.
I just had a baby and my hair is falling out.
Postpartum shedding is one of the two she sees most. A lot of it resolves on its own inside a year, so she talks through timing before you start.
Could something else be causing this?
Possibly. Thyroid function and low iron sit outside the scalp, and PRP fixes neither. She'll flag it and send you for bloodwork.
When will I see something?
Most people notice the shedding slow around six to eight weeks. Density changes show three to six months in.
